Hello

A VISIT TO FUNK SHUN

Yesterday I visited Christa at FUNK SHUN, she was busy making the Man Dolls which are so popular.  I dropped off some more salve and will need to return next week with some more things.IMG_2717

THE KNITTING GROUP

The knitting group meets almost every Saturday at Pine Hill Orchard restaurant .  It’s open to anyone who wants to come.  Lunch is there if you need it.  Various knitting projects are show and admired or you can just sit there and enjoy the conversation.  Although I can’t be there every Saturday and sometimes Pine Hill is having an event and we can’t use the space, I look forward to going each week.

FLOODING

Last night the rains came down and the upstairs of the barn is completely soaked, around mid night it eked its way into the kitchen so pails were placed to catch it.  It even got into the first chicken coop and now I have to replace all the soaked shavings.  That has never happened before.  I never did get the sand bags up there too many other things to bring up, I will get them up today and hope that they will work.  More rain is expected tonight.  There is still snow in the pasture but most of the snow on the mountain has melted.  The problem is the small hill leading down into the barn is still covered with ice and the rain can’t soak in.  Soon it will be over.

PANSY’S

I am hoping that the pansy’s that  came up last year in the garden return again this year.  But I did buy a box of small ones and will put  them in with the bunny and pussy willow table decoration.

I do love them and have over the years pressed them.  Maybe this year I will make cards out of them.

Thank you for reading my blog on this spring day.   Carole
