A LITTLE WINTER CHICKEN FUN-RUG HOOKING-A VISIT WITH BETTY

13 02 2016

GREETINGS

COLD COLD COLD, it was  5 above when i got up this morning, although the barn wasn’t too cold  but as soon as i opened the door a blast of cold air came in.  I have prepared  for the cold days and night ahead in hopes that everyone will be good.    The sheep will be inside the barn as the brutal winds will blow off the mountain and throughout the barn.  Temps will go down to more than 14 below and will chills in the 30 below range.  Hope this is the only blast of real winter we will get.  Tuesday we are expecting a storm but now they say it will be sleet turning into rain.  What a winter.

LITTLE BIT OF WINTER CHICKEN FUN

This was on face book this morning and I though I would share it with you.  I am Pesky Eggsitter!

Rug Hooking project finished.

I hooked this some time ago not knowing what I would do with it.  I have sewed a lining into it and now it will hold spring pussy willows.

A Visit With Betty

My youngest daughter Betty fell a couple of weeks ago and had some serious damage done to her leg.  She is doing well after some surgery and will start PT soon.  Yesterday I spent the afternoon with her and her 2 dogs Lexi and Tilly.  I am teaching her how to knit and she did very well.  Soon she will have a scarf done.  We had a wonderful visit

Hope your pipes didn’t freeze in this bitter cold! Hubby says letting them drip keeps them from freezing. Good to pass on.

I think that we are the worst of it. No frozen pipes. I had a fan blowing air on the worst of the pipes and didnt use the wood stove wich last year kept the kitchen warm but the radiator pipes froze. Hope you fared well.
