EGGS-SHEARING DAY

22 03 2015

GREETINGS

The winds are howling outside my computer window and every once in a while I feel a breeze.  Its one of the windows that I need to get a storm window for.  Yesterdays snow is gone. The winds will help some of the snow to go away.  I planned on picking some pussy willows today but the winds are to fearce and I am worried that the other half of that tree may come down.

EGGS

6 Eggs yesterday, they are all getting into spring egg laying .  Soon there will be chicks in the store.

IT'S OVER

IT’S OVER

ALthough the  weather didn’t cooperated it didn’t stop people from coming out and watching the shearing process.  And a bonus was a Mom with her twin Lambs.  I have to schedule my Shearer for the beginning of April.

Thank you for reading my log today and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Shearing looks very hard on the back! Bet the sheep feel light and frisky afterwards. With the chill winds, I hope they’re not missing their fleeces!

It is hard on the back I don;t know how they do it. I am going to shear in early April this year. I always like to do it mid March but it was too cold this year. They will group together to keep warm.

It looks as though you have some great heavy fleeces there! great to see the fresh eggs, we used to keep hens but sadly the deeds of our current house don’t allow it 😦 Sharon x

Hello Sharon
Thank you so much for following my blog I am now following yours You are a very creative person. I am looking forward to reading your past blogs. Those were a friends sheep, mine have not been shorn yet am waiting for warmer weather. I am lucky in my town. Its a small rural town and the town is all agricultural. A wise decision on the towns part.
