MOM

Today with great sadness I must tell you that my Mom passed away yesterday.  She had been ill and we knew that this was coming but it’s still a shock.   SHe was in Florida with loving people around her.  There was a Hospice Nurse and Mary who lovingly took care of her were by her side.

MOM AND ME AT EASTER, THANK YOU FRAN FOR SENDING ME THIS

My Mom was a strong, hard-working woman. She cooked and cleaned, made lots of my clothes, gardened and put up vegetables and had a successful career. She had beautiful blonde hair with very fair skin always dressed  to perfection.  She took me to dancing school, piano lessons, art lessons and the occasional horse riding lesson.  She and her friend GIl would  get together often and remained friends for all of their lives..  She taught me so many things in my life and I was truly blessed to have such great parents.  It’s hard to say Good Bye but memories will always be with me and my family.  She had a wonderful life and many people who loved her.

Dear Carole, even tho you know that this will happen does not make it easier. I am so sorry for your loss. You did a wonderful job of taking care of her and making sure that all was going well. I keep saying “I wish Mom and Dad were here because I understand so much I didn’t when they were alive”. I’d give anything to have a nice long chat with them.
Love, Patricia and Lorne
