TAKING A LOOK AT THE GARDENS-HAZEL-A FEW MORE SHOW AND FALL PICTURES

23 10 2013

HELLO,

It got into the low 50’s today but is expected to go back to the low 30’s tonight.  We didn’t have any snow squalls this afternoon, we don’t need them in OCtober.

TAKING A LOOK AT THE GARDEN

Now that the cold weather is approaching I decided to take a look at the gardens and see what will be needed for the spring.  I hope to get a few more evergreen trees for the back hill near the computer room.  It will be great shelter for the birds.  I bought two through mail order because the price was right but both didn’t make it, so I will get them at the local grain store, or maybe in the forest if I can .I also want to get some tall  grasses for the birds.  I think it would be nice to have two honeysuckle plants for the porch.  I have to plant the garden earlier and take a chance on the frost.

I hope to get the garlic in tomorrow,

Hazel

Hazel is recovering from yesterday’s big adventure to the doctors, and hasn’t eaten much today, his crow sounds a little better but he is still coughing.  He will be on the antibiotics for a full 14 days.

I am including a few more pictures from the show tonight and some fall pictures.\

OUR BARN

The leaves are going fast, the pasture is full of them and the sheep are out of the barn early so see if any acorns dropped during the night.
