HELLO,

MARLEY AND ME

MARLEY AND ME

Even though sometimes Marley is a little devil he can be so lovable.  He had a bad start in  life and  that added with his life in a dog cage and being treated like a dog will always make him a little different.

GREEN MOUNTAIN RUG HOOKING GUILD’S SUMMER HOOK-IN

I have been waiting for this event since late winter.  I look forward to it e very year.  It’s only a couple of days away but it’s so much fun to see friends and not have to worry about things at home.  Any trip I  go on takes weeks of preparation.  I have to be sure that I have all animal feed, lists for the sitters, medications and packing for myself.  Minnie and Lilly Pad are going to be somewhat upset by my leaving.  They are used to having people all around.  My step-grandson Tyler is taking care of them and giving Sammy his medications.  All three need some time spent with them.

It’s a beautiful ride up to West Lebanon even though its highway you wind around the beautiful mountains of Vermont, next thing you know you are climbing around mountains and looking down onto old New England towns with white Church spires standing out.  The land is doted with cows and horses.  Someone in the group did this wonderful landscape of their family’s farm at night.  The farm was nestled in a valley and it was all lite up (milking time) the snow glistened and the stars twinkled.  It was a beautiful piece.

Carolyn finished her basket, isn’t it beautiful.  I have not done a thing on mine but am hoping to rework some of it and finish it soon.

Your season seems far more advanced than ours, our Rosa Rugosa’s are still in full bloom, no sign of the hips turning colour yet.

Hello Anne
I think that we are earlier this year only a few roses left. Its been an odd summer here with temps over 100 and cold tems before that and lots of rain. I think the roses are confused.

I always think of the same beautiful rug whenever I’m driving in the Vt mountains looking down on the scenery…and I tink I have found the barn…well… I like to think it’s the one she hooked.
