THE SKUNKS-MORNING GLORIES-HOPS-WOOL SHOW IN SCOTLAND

5 08 2013

Hello,

The skunks were out in the yard playing together.  It was so enjoyable to watch.  They have their rounds each night.  It seems that their parents have left them and soon they will find mates and leave.  The little one would back up and put its tail in the air and charge the other one like a bull, They are so funny.

The Farm

Sadie is doing better now with the Bute,  I am not having to help her up often anymore.  It takes some time to get into the system. Minnie Bisbee is putting on some weight, talking up a storm.  She is like Ernest Dodge in some ways and in others she is so opposite. The move was the best thing I could do for her.

The Morning Glories in the Herb Bed are finally out and the hops are doing so good.

I think for the hops I will have to use some lattice from Home Depot and build a bridge over the chicken yard.  I have spent much of my time this summer propping up the netting.  With the small bridge I can train it to grow over the bridge and it will provide great shade for the girls.

The hops in the front will have to be retrained also, they didn’t grow up the lattice-work and just grew wherever.  I have had to rip some out as it was killing some of my other plants.
