GRAPE VINES

Hello

SWEET ANNIE

SWEET ANNIE

Grape Vines

The perennial gardens on the side of the driveway have 3 grape vines in them.  I decided to get a trellis for the major vine and will have to get 2 more.

I think these vines are the smaller, sweeter concord type grapes which grow around here.  There are vines in the back near the sheep and some on the road.  These grapes are called wild grapes by the locals and make wonderful grape jelly.  Hopefully in a couple of years there will be grapes on them.

Clean Up Day

Today was a clean up day around here, all the chicken coops needed cleaning and the sheep too.  I did the chickens this morning and Chris and I did the sheep tonight.  Sadie is tucked in a bed of shavings and hay so all is well with the  world.  Clean bedding and a barn full of grains and hay make my day.  I still haven’t decided what to do about the hay.  I will call Joe tonight to see if he can come down and look at the situation.  A dumb-waiter sounds like the ideal solution.

Funk SHun

We went down to Funk Shun today, even though the shop wasn’t open  Christa was there and I added a few things and took some things home.   Here is how my area looks.

Many thanks for taking the time to read my blog and I hope you have a wonderful day.     Carole
