My grandson Chris got exactly what he wanted for his birthday.  He had to wait a week or so for her.  Her name is Lilly Pad and he is keeping that name.   She looks like a wonderful cat.   She is 4 years old.   His brother Ricky takes care of a neighborhood cat and now that cat just about lives with Ricky.  Lilly Pad will come up and visit the farm when she is more settled in.

I have been working on the hearts today.  After putting some lavender in them I stitch them by hand all around the edge.

I love being able to make something that would have been thrown away.  The quilt pieces are all hand sewn.  It’s interesting that whoever made them used whatever thread she had on hand and not something that matched.  She used brown thread.

What a day

Today was beautiful.  Clothes were on the line and I got some needed outdoor chores started.   A lot of the birds are starting to come back now.  Spring really is here.

I spent a good deal of time on the phone with the Nurse at Hospice and the Social Worker there.  My Mothers level of care has changed and we needed to discuss how to make sure she is safe.  In Florida Assisted Living facilities cannot restrain a person so other measures have to be taken.

Hope you have a wonderful day and many thanks for reading my blog.
