BURR ITS COLD – HEART ROCK – LIL – A TOUCH OF SPRING

2 01 2013

HELLO

P1010909

The cold is brutal, we have had snow flurries most of the day but they aren’t mounting too much.  I have spent most of the day just trying to keep the house warm.

HEART ROCK

P1010910

Valentines Day is coming up soon and this was pointed out to me this past fall.  A heart-shaped rock, isn’t it funny I never noticed it.  I had the wall rebuilt about 8 years.  The man who did this work was from Nepal.  He did a wonderful job and told me many stories about Tibet and Nepal.  The view of the rock is seen through my kitchen window, that wall is holding the mountain back, its 3 rocks thick.

A TOUCH OF SPRING

Another Hyacinth has blossomed.  The smell is wonderful, one more to go.

LIL

The boys and I ate dinner at my sons yesterday.  Lil had on a sweet rose dress and was playing with a GUND Pookie.  She was tired out at the end of the our meal.  Playing is serious work.

Ricky and Chris went home yesterday, I certainly miss them but they will be back in 6 weeks for the winter vacation.  They will get some skiing in at a local ski resort.

Many thanks for reading my blog, stay warm.           Carole

It is cold here as well. Our little stove is working hard and our furnace still comes on at night. I think I will go get some hyacinth bulbs. A scent of spring would be very welcome. How cold is it in your barn?
