TARGHE YARN – THE PATIO RESTUARANT – MOM’S EARLY BIRTHDAY

10 10 2012

HELLO,

I can’t go anywhere without projects.  I brought two skeins of wool to wind, clothes to cut up for rugs, my latest knitting project and a wool project.  The yarn is from my first sheep which were Targhe,    They were beautiful sheep originating from places like Wyoming.  The wool is quite soft.   I found a wonderful, complicated pattern to make a shawl and hope to start that when my sweater is done.

MOM

Gary brought down a book about Perryville, Maryland.  (I am going to get her one and send it to her)  It has the many picture of the old days of Perryville.  I took this picture when he was showing her the class picture and she spotted herself in it.  She will enjoy looking at the pictures.  We celebrated her 91st birthday early as I will not be able to come down October 31st.  We had  a large cake and everyone sang to her and wished her well.  She is shocked that she is 91.  My Mom lives at Fairgreen Assisted Living in New Smyrna Beach.  The staff is wonderful .  We are extremely lucky to find such a caring place for her.

GARY, ME AND MOM

THE PATIO RESTUARANT

We ate at a favorite dining place  in New Smyrna Beach.  The atmosphere is wonderful and dining is inside or out.  Food is local and fresh and there is plenty to pick from on the menu.  I had Chicken salad in avocado with fresh fruit, veggies and pasta salad, Gary had Tuna melt with fruit and pasta.

We had a wonderful mean and will return.  We are off to a museum that has interesting facts on Indigo.

Thanks for reading my blog and hope you have a wonderful day.

Carole

A healthy lunch…Avocado salad is a favourite power food of mine! Your blog looks to be full of interest and info…I’ll be browsing through it with my tea, as the dark evenings set in!
