QUICHE – ATHA MEETING – RUG HOOKING

1 10 2012

HELLO,

Today I woke up to no electricity.  I momentarily paniced as I promised I would bring a Quiche to the ATHA meeting.  I was too tired last night after making bread and canning the corn relish to make it then.  Oh well I could always bring some corn relish.  The house was still warm from the heat coming on and hour before the lights went off.  And I noticed how quiet it was.  In the busyness of each day you just don’t notice how noisy things are.  Around 9 the lights came back on.  I did bake the Quiche and decided with the leftover pie crust dough to make another one. and put it in the fridge.  I really don’t know why I haven’t made Quiche before.  They are easy and don’t take a lot of time and use a lot of eggs.  My friend Debbie said that because I had made the Quiche out of cream I could freeze it.  So that is what I will do tomorrow.  I will cut it into serving slices and freeze them.  That will make a nice supper when I am too tired to make anything

This is a picture before I poured the milk/egg mix in and the other picture is it finished

This is my friend Debbie.  SHe is a beautiful rug hooker.  Every rug she does is spectacular.  The rug she is working on today was started in a workshop in the spring.  It’s a take-off of a quilt pattern.  I just love it. I  worked on the pumpkin/kitty rug today.  I have worked on it a lot recently but still have a lot to do.  I want to get it down before November 1st.

Have a wonderful day and thank you for reading my blog.

Carole
