HELLO

We had some wonderful rain last night, the ground is still damp from it.  We needed it.  Its hot and humid but there is a breeze

THE GARDEN

Today I finished my garden  book.  I made one two years ago for chickens.  I bought this lined journal type book at Wal-Mart

for under 10 dollars.  (you can enlarge the picture by clicking on it, you will be able to see more detail)        I have been collecting some favorite pictures out of magazines of garden things and just glued them on.  Don’t you just love the gal with the marigold necklace ?  I also bought some index post its and put them on.  This is a yearly thing that I am going to do.  Keeping this journal will I hope keep me from making the same mistakes in the garden.  It will tell me what plants and seeds do well and which ones I don’t want to grow again.  I also have a section for fencing, things that I will need to make for the coming year.  I am going to include pages for pictures of the garden too.  Next year I will start right after planting and go through the season in pictures.  I remember my friend, Pat doing that and it was amazing.

ERNEST DODGE HOOKED

I am not sure if I like his face  but He is always smiling .

4th ANNUAL SOUTHERN ADIRONDACK FIBER FESTIVAL

This is the first time that I am doing this show.  It’s not a long drive and a group of us are staying in a monastery.  An old friend of mine has been doing the show since it started and loves it.  I am looking forward to it.  There is more than 120 vendors.  Its located at the Washington COunty Fairgrounds in Greenwich, New York,

SMALL ROMA  TYPE  TOMATOES

These have turned out to be great tomatoes.  They are another heirloom plant,  I planted 6 plants and they grew and grew.  I thought that they wouldn’t amount to anything and suddenly there were hundreds of tiny tomatoes.  I hope to pick enough tomorrow to make a sauce.

HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY, thanks for taking the time to read my blog.

CAROLE
